Lifan Eagle 110

Introduction

Lifan motors is a China-based manufacturer and has a presence worldwide with a wide range of two-wheelers. In Vietnam, it has introduced models like PKF, Storm 125, Pony 100 with a variety of designs and utility features. The Eagle 110 is one among the latest and updated versions launched, currently comes in single variant featuring 110cc engine delivering good power and best of fuel economy of 62kmpl on average.

Design

This is an entry level motorcycle with ideal combination styling and utility. The spoke wheels used for front and rear and body panel at the front and the fender for wheel and the headlight assembly give it good styling. The overall dimensions include 1910mm X 695mm X 1100mm (Length X Width X Height) and kerb weight of 98kg make it an easy to handle vehicle for any age group customers. The single seat design gave good cushioning and the handlebar positioning enables for the comfortable posture of the rider, the space between the seat and the handlebar can serve the purpose of holding smaller luggage on the move.

Engine, Economy & Performance

This motorcycle feature single cylinder 110cc engine delivering the power of 6.03hp at 8000rpm and torque of 6.8Nm at 5000rpm. The genuine combination of power and torque can pick up good speed quickly from the start and reach a speed of around 50kmph very easily and further acceleration can lead to a maximum speed of 80kmph in normal road conditions. This is basically designed for city and town usage with a limited range of travel in a day to day life and can give best of the mileage of 62kmpl in standard road conditions.

Handling

The ride quality of the motorcycle is enhanced with comfortable seating and posture for the rider and easy to hold handlebar grip. The comparatively light in weight features and smaller dimensions make it easy to ride in normal traffic conditions and congested roads in city and town usage. The spoke wheels fitted with tyres of rating 70/90 R17 for the front and 80/90 R17 for the rear give best of road grip and enable for comfortable riding with the pillion passenger. The pillion passenger portion of the seat given good cushioning and the footrest and hand grip make it convenient for comfortable seating on straight ahead roads and riding over sharp curves.

Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous

The safety of the rider and the passenger is assured with best of riding dynamics of the motorcycle and the efficient braking system with drum brakes at both front and rear makes it easy to slow down and stop the vehicle. The suspension system involves telescopic shock absorber for the front and torsion spring shock absorber for the rear providing best of cushioning for the rider and pillion passenger. The lockable storage space provided under the seat can accommodate smaller items like a helmet, a handbag and other articles.
