Honda Future

Introduction

The Honda Motorcycles is one of the world famous motorcycle manufacturers with a presence in countries worldwide. In Vietnam, it has introduced a wide range of products in scooter and bike segment some of them include Blade 110, Superdream, Wave Alpha, Wave RSX Vision and so on. In Future model, it has introduced 125cc engine with fuel injection system and Honda offers six colour options for this model.

Design

This is a stylish two-wheeler with good combination of easy ride quality of a bike and comfort of a scooter, the dual straight seat with saddle height of 758mm is designed to provide best of comfort for the rider as well as a pillion passenger. The bold design of the headlamp assembly and the handlebar with cladding adds to the attraction of the vehicle besides giving perfect riding posture. The dimensions of the vehicle 1932mmX 711mm X 1092mm(Length X Width X Height) and wheelbase 1258mm and overall lightweight features make it easy to handle in narrow spaces.

Engine, Economy & performance

This is a stylish two-wheeler from Honda featuring 125cc single cylinder four-stroke petrol engine delivering the power of 9.46hp at 7500rpm and Torque of 10.6Nm at 5500rpm. The fuel injection system used for the efficient combustion of fuel and the engine mated with four-speed gearbox for variation of speed and torque. The smooth acceleration of the engine and change of gears enable for faster pick up from the start and it can reach speed of 60kmph in about 10 seconds and further acceleration with top gear selection can take it up to 85kmph on standard road conditions

Handling

The ride quality of the motorcycle enhanced with the superior quality of body dynamics and the balanced seating posture of the rider and pillion passenger. It can cruise at a good speed at straight ahead road conditions and the comparatively lower ground clearance calls for the complete slowdown at the road humps. The tyres of size 70/90 R17 for the front and 80/90R17 for the rear fitted on to the stylish alloy wheels gives best of road grip making it easy to handle while taking sharp turns and negotiating with steep gradients and wet road conditions.

Safety, Brakes and Miscellaneous

Honda has used strong steel for the frame making it sturdy and the body panels made lightweight and can resist dents on minor accidents. The safe riding of the motorcycle is assured with efficient operation of the disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear fitted on to the strong alloy wheels. The suspension system involves telescopic shock absorbers at the front and hydraulic shock absorber with torsional springs at the rear. The secured ignition locking system, lockable under-seat storage can be handy to store things like a helmet and a handbag.

Verdict

This is a very stylish motorcycle with the ideal combination of power and mileage factors and makes a good selection for regular city usage and occasional long rides.
