Yamaha Luvias

Introduction

After producing world class bikes over the years, Yamaha has introduced Luvias for the Vietnam's two-wheeler market which is a mid-sized 125cc scooter with astonishing features and dynamic appearance. It has gorgeous looks and a tough road appearance due to its fresh styling. Overall the body structure of Luvias looks quite stylish due to its twin-eyed halogen headlamp and the side indicator. The Japanese manufacturer has also used the chrome garnish and 5-spoke black alloy wheels which makes it more attractive.

Design

When it comes to the design scheme, Yamaha has constructed Luvias wonderfully to provide a convenient riding experience to both the rider and the pillion. The front fascia has looks stunning with a twin-eyed headlamp and the side indicator, which are in flow with the headlamp. It has company insignia just right below the seat. At the rear, it has been blessed with a neatly designed tail light along with side indicators. In terms of its dimensions, it has a length of 1855 mm with a width of 700mm and height of 1070mm weighing 101 kg. Luvias comes with a wheelbase of 1265 mm with black alloy wheels and available in three different contradictory color scheme White and Blue, White and Black and White and Red along with the sharp and edgy body design making the vehicle eye catching.

Engine, Economy & Performance

Talking about the engine and performance of Yamaha Luvias, it has been blessed with a 125cc powertrain unit. The single cylinder, 4-stroke, 2-valve, SOHC, liquid cooled engine generates a decent amount of power which is required for city traffic. The 125cc engine develops the maximum power of 11 hp at 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.36 nm at 6500 rpm which is linked to a variable-speed gearbox to provide smooth acceleration along with quick throttle response. To enhance its performance, the manufacturer has blessed it with automatic engine start-stop technology and in order to generate a decent fuel economy, Luvias has been equipped with an electronic fuel injection system.

Handling

The Japanese manufacturer has provided Luvias with mono shock suspension in the front and oil damper & spring suspension at rear with its compact dimensions which are ideal for a joyful ride. It has been outfitted with 70/90 R14 tyre at the front and 90/80 R14 at the rear portion with 5-spoke wonderfully designed alloy wheels to add more appearance. The tyres provide an excellent handling to the rider even on the bumpy surfaces.

Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous

For satisfactory braking, Yamaha has blessed Luvias with a disc brake at front and a drum brake at the rear. The brakes are very effective and lock the scooter without causing any trouble on the road. In terms of safety, it has been equipped with the Yamaha advanced safety features to provide a hassle free ride. It has an elegant body with the latest graphics which is also a major plus point when it comes to structure. It is a great performer and offers a decent fuel economy.
