Yamaha Exciter R

Introduction

Yamaha is a popular two-wheeler manufacturer company which has its presence all over the globe. After introducing various scooters, mopeds and bikes Yahama has launched Exciter R in the Vietnam's market. Yamaha has introduced three variants of it named Exciter Camo 168, Exciter 150 and Exciter R and so far Exciter R is the most talked about vehicle in the country. All the versions are having more or less similar features and specifications. But Exciter R has a fascinating body structure which makes it quite different.

Design

With a dual straight seat, Yamaha Exciter R has been designed to provide an excellent amount of convenient to the rider and pillion while riding. It has a length of 1960mm with a width of 695mm and height of 1080mm weighing 111 kg. The Japanese manufacturer has blessed it with the exquisitely designed alloy wheels which have a ground clearance of 130 mm. The front fascia of the vehicle has a 1-eyed halogen headlamp and an electronic speedometer. The suspension at the front presents a massive look. It has wonderfully polished rear view mirrors and twin-eyed side indicators just below that has been added by the automakers to make it more breathtaking. The side view shows its sumptuous sports graphics along with the company insignia which has been embossed on its massive body. At the rear, it has an LED tail light that has side indicators with it and at the bottom end, it features a superior light weighted single exhaust pipe to add an intrusive look to the vehicle.

Engine, Economy & Performance

Talking about its engine and performance, Exciter R has a 134cc single cylinder, four-stroke, four-valve, SOHC, liquid-cooled engine to deliver a superlative amount of power. The power mill comes complemented to a four-speed gearbox. It exhales the supreme power of 12 hp at 8500 rpm and a peak torque of 11.8 nm at 5500 rpm. It is controlled by a wet multi-plate clutch and chain drive to give smooth and vibration free acceleration.

Handling

Yamaha Exciter R has been crafted on a high rigidity underbone type frame to give enough strength to its mid-size body structure. The Japanese manufacturer has blessed Exciter R with telescopic suspension at the front and the rear has mono shock suspension. It progresses on 70/90 R17 front tyre and 80/90 R17 rear tyre wrapped on sporty black 5-spoke alloy wheels which give great manoeuvrability. On curvaceous roads, it is flexible and responding like a proper bike. It has been designed in such a way that it can easily manage city traffic and unquestionably stands out from the crowd which makes it more successful than the bikes in its segment.

Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous

For satisfactory braking, Exciter R has been equipped with a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear to perform the braking functions adequately. The brakes work quite thoroughly and give an excellent stopping power to the vehicle. It comes with a digital display screen which has an analog tachometer, digital speedometer and odometer. The fuel indicator is perfectly integrated between the analog and the digital display which makes it more enticing.

Verdict

Yamaha Exciter R is surprisingly beneficial when it comes to the mileage with increased braking and sporty body frame, overall it is well furnished and efficient with all the features and elements. This lightweight vehicle is an ideal and absolute bike for a learner and experienced rider.
