Introduction

Sym has introduced different models in Vietnam suiting a wide range of utility with best of styling features. The Elizabeth series of scooters is offered with 111 cc engine and this model is available in three variants EFi Drum brake, EFi Disc brake, EFi standard featuring fuel injection system for the fuel supply and the customers can choose from color options such as Blue, Yellow, Red, Brown, White.

Design

This is a classic styling scooter with attractive body panel design with the glossy effect of paint and beautifully designed headlight fixed onto the center of the handlebar design.The integrated dual seat gave slight inclination toward front giving better posture for the rider and the gap between seat and handlebar given rubber mat with enable for resting legs on the ride. The dimensional features of the scooter include 1795mm X 668mm X 1100mm (Length X Width X Height) and the wheelbase of 1260mm give good stability of the ride and ground clearance of 135mm is fair enough for normal road conditions.

Engine, Economy & Performance

SYM has used 111cc single cylinder four-stroke engine delivering the power of 8.38hp at 7500rpm and Torque of 8 Nm at 6500rpm. The fuel injection system used for the fuel supply for efficient combustion and quick development of rpm result in faster build- up of power and torque. It can reach a speed of zero to 60kmph in over 9 seconds and ride on standard conditions, it can reach a top speed of 80kmph. The fuel efficiency of 50kmpl is reliable in city conditions of riding and maximum mileage of 55kmpl can be achieved in the highway.

Handling

There is a good blending of styling features and dynamics of the scooter giving perfect riding over varying conditions. The comparatively broader profile of the tyres with rating 110/90 R10 for the front and the rear assure good grip over the wet and slippery road conditions. The fine grip on the handlebar and comfortable posture of the rider enable for easier handling of the bike and the pillion rider given foot pegs for resting the foot and hand grip over the tail lamp for balanced seating while riding on curves and speeding. The ground clearance is just good enough for normal road conditions and calls for careful negotiations at the road humps and unexpected hollows.

Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous

The body panels made with a strong and lightweight sheet and can withstand impact in minor accident scenarios and the efficient braking system with disc brake at front and drum brake at rear enable for the quick and safe stopping of the vehicle over uneven surfaces. SYM has used telescopic shock absorbers at the front and hydraulic shock absorber with torsion spring at the rear for taking strong loads of the vehicle on bumpy road conditions. The under seat storage with safe locking system has 27liters space that can accommodate a helmet, handbag and other smaller items improve the utility of the vehicle.
