Kymco Like

Introduction

The Taiwan-based company have been producing world class bikes and scooters since 1963. The manufacturer has used the same electronic fuel injection system in Kymco Like which was used earlier in the other bikes. It has been provided with lots of storage space, excellent features and a color matched top box to add more appearance. The automakers have designed this scooter with the classic looks to give a direct competition to Piaggio Vespa.

Design

Kymco Like is a refinement of the previous generation of the motor Like 50. It is an electrified two-wheeler which has been designed with the majestic aerodynamic shape. The front fascia of the scooter has been outfitted with a single-eyed headlight along with the striking clear lens side indicators. At footrest area, a glove box has been provided to keep daily purpose things. It has the company insignia embossed on its wonderfully designed front side. At the rear, it has a trunk to provide more storage space to the passenger and an LED tail light with the side indicators. In terms of dimensions, It has a height of 1115 mm and the length of 1915 mm along with a width of 690mm. The total kerb weight of the Like sums up to a whopping 121 kg.

Engine, Economy & Performance

Talking about its engine and performance, Kymco Like has a 125cc single cylinder, 4-strok 0.12L engine developing 9.38 hp power at 8000 rpm and a superlative torque of 9 nm at 6000 rpm. The powerful engine is linked to a variable speed gearbox to provide a smooth and vibration free acceleration. It employs an ECU (Electronic Control Unit) system that ensures an undelayed ignition of the scooter. The engine is quite impressive and with this configuration, it sprints from 0 to 95 kmph in few seconds which makes it one of the most vintage looking rapid scooter available in the country.

Handling

The Taiwanese manufacturer has outfitted it with telescopic suspension at the front while the rear has coil spring suspension to grant a majestic handling even on the rough surfaces. Kymco Like runs on 110/80 R12 sticky radial tyres fitted at the front and 130/70 R12 at the rear in order to accommodate a delicate grip on the road. It comes with a long spongy sliding seat that provides convenient to the rider and pillion on long journeys.

Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous

The braking ability becomes responsive with the incorporation of stable and durable front disc and drum brake at the rear. They work quite adequately in enormous approach and provides the amazing stopping power to the vehicle. In terms of safety, it has been blessed with the Kymco controlling features to give a safe and secure riding experience to the rider.
