Honda Super Dream

Introduction

The Honda Motorcycles has a long history of manufacturing highly reliable performance engines and trendy design of two wheelers. The widespread service network has given it an edge over other two wheeler manufacturers. In this latest series of models, it has introduced models like SH125i, SH150i, SH Mode, PCX, Air Blade and Blade 110 which feature the same engine as this model. The Superdream is currently available in a single variant with a dual colour combination of brown and white.

Design

The special feature of Superdream includes a chrome plated career fixed on the fender of the front wheel. The hexagonal design clear lens headlamp fixed at the center of the handlebar and the indicators fixed besides the headlamp. The dual straight seat for made with best of cushioning for the rider and the pillion passenger. The rider position with saddle height 745mm and the space between the handlebar and the seat give good leg space for the rider and the handlebar grips give comfortable posture for the rider for smooth handling. The overall dimensions include 1915mmX 696mm X 1052mm(Length X Width X Height) and wheelbase 1212mm ground clearance of 135mm make it an easy to handle two wheelers for narrow space roads and traffic conditions.

Engine, Economy & performance

This compact size two wheeler from Honda feature 109cc single cylinder four stroke petrol engine delivering the power of 7.6hp at 7500rpm and Torque of 8.32Nm at 6500rpm. The carbureted fuel system is used for fuel supply and he drive is connected to the rear wheel through a 4-speed gearbox and chain drive. The smooth and quick response of the engine for acceleration can take the initial speed to 45kmph in 7 seconds and further acceleration can lead to a maximum speed of around 80kmph. The efficient combustion of the fuel-air mixture can give a mileage of 60kmpl in city conditions and it can increase up to 65mpl on constant speed riding such as on the highway.

Handling

The smooth operation of the engine and compact dimensions make it very easy to ride in stop and go situations such as city traffic conditions. The quick rise in speed can give good start from the idling and cover the distance at a brisk pace and the compact size and easy handling of the handlebar can enable the rider to negotiate with narrow space between vehicles in high traffic conditions. The fine grip on the road enhanced with tyres of size 70/90 R17 for front and 80/90 R17 for the rear assure stabilized riding on uneven roads and turnings.

Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous

The smart design of the bike with steel tubular frame can withstand all loads and the stabilized riding assured with balanced dynamics. The drum brakes used for both front and rear wheels for effectively controlling and stopping of the vehicle. The telescopic shock absorbers used for the front suspension and hydraulic shock absorber for the rear fixed onto the frame at the wheel and connected to below the dual straight seat offer better cushioning for the rider and pillion passenger. The smart design of the storage space under the seat can be utilized for storing small items like a handbag or a helmet and locked for safety.
