Introduction

Harley-Davidson in Vietnam has captured the super luxury motorcycle segment with innovative and high-performance bikes such as Superflow 1200T, 1200 Custom, V-Rod Muscle, Night Rod Special, Street Glide Special, Road Glide special and others. The Tri Glide ultra is an ultra-modern Tricycle featuring high-powered engine and sophisticated technology equipment and accessories and features like adjustable seats, headlights, traction control, ABS, engine immobilizer is used as a standard.

Design

The design features of this bike include the special attraction design of headlight and cowl assembly, smooth flow body design and special design of rider seat with backrest and ultra- comfort seat with backrest for the pillion passenger. The beautifully shaped handlebar gives the perfect posture for the rider and foot rests enable for stretching leg for better comfort of the long ride. The dimensions of the bike include Length 2670mm, wheelbase 1669mm and ground clearance 120mm. The Kerb weight 551Kg and make it a heavy bike to handle but dynamics and stability of Tricycle design make it easy to handle.

Engine, Economy & Performance

This is a superior performance three-wheeler bike designed to excel in long touring, it features twin cam four stroke liquid cooled twin cylinder engine with 1690cc engine delivering a torque of 138Nm at 3750 rpm. The fuel injection system used for the fuel supply and twin spark plug used for each cylinder for effective combustion. The engine is mated with six-speed manual transmission and the drive connected to rear axle differential shaft and to the wheels. The quick development of the power and torque can lead to faster acceleration and it can reach a top speed of 175kmph in standard road conditions. The efficient combustion of fuel can give a mileage of up to 20kmpl in city conditions and up to 23kmpl can be expected on the highway.

Handling

The three-wheeler design of the bike makes it easy for the handling of the bike, the comfortable posture of the rider seat and pillion passenger and the smart design of the containers enables for the perfect balance of the bike with a full load. The efficient dynamics with perfect disTribution of torque to both wheels and stability control features makes it easier for taking sharp turns. The tyre with rating 205/65 R15 get perfect road grip and can withstand varying loads on the vehicle. The ride quality is further improved with cruise control with which rider can be seated comfortably during riding on long stretch roads.

Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous

The strong chassis frame with mild steel and chrome garnish can withstand a load of vehicle components and the weight of the rider, passenger, and baggage. The brake system uses disc brakes for all wheels for the efficient stopping of the vehicle without jerks. The suspension system involves telescopic fork for the front wheel and two-sided swingarm suspension for the rear. The twin utility boxes behind the rear seat are made secured with strong material and locking system enhance safe handling of baggage during touring
