Benelli Century Racer 1130

Introduction

The Century Racer 1130 is one of the most popular launches from Benelli in Vietnam. The manufacturer has taken an aggressive stance in introducing a wide range of two-wheelers with engine capacity ranging from 50cc to 1400cc and featuring latest technology accessories and futuristic designs. Some of the models launched in Vietnam include Pepe50, Cafenero 150, V LM 150, Treck 1130, BN600i, TNT R160.

Design

This is a super performance racer bike with excellent body dynamics and styling features. The projector type dual seat with special design rider seat giving comfortable posture and perfect support for the lower bone for a long time spent on the bike during long rides. The handlebar designed beautifully and the heated grips enable for a firm grip while riding in cold climates. The dimensional features include 2100mm X 790mm X 1050mm (Length X Width X Height) and wheelbase of 1443mm and kerb weight 215Kg the aerodynamic design of the body panels enable for stability over high-speed cruising.

Engine, Economy & performance

The racer spirit of the bike is boosted with three cylinder liquid cooled engine with 1130cc capacity delivering the power of 135hp at 9500rpm and torque of 110Nm at 5250rpm. The engine is mated with the 6-speed manual transmission for faster variation of speed and torque factors. The quick development of rpm result in brisk power and torque output taking the bike to cross 100kmph mark in 9 seconds and the bike can reach a top speed of 207kmph on standard road conditions. The excellent power and performance are enhanced with best of fuel efficiency of 20kmpl in city riding conditions and 23kmpl while cruising at constant speed.

Handling

This is a racer bike featuring a high-performance engine that can deliver maximum power and torque at low rpm and can take the bike to over the 100kmph mark in the short interval from the start. The quickness of speed build up is supported with fine dynamics of the bike, stability control, and traction control features for better handling. The high-speed cruising and perfect control over the bike while riding on sharp curves is enhanced with the fine grip of broad profile tyres of rating 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 190/50 ZR17 at the rear fitted on to the strong alloy wheels. The comparatively smaller ground clearance helps for stabilized riding at high speeds and calls for careful slowing down at road humps for avoiding underbody hit.

Safety, Braking, and Miscellaneous

The superior power and performance factors of the bike enhanced with a strong tubular frame that can take all torsional and vibrational loads of the vehicle. The safe braking is assured with disc brakes at both front and rear and Anti-Lock braking system used for efficient braking over wet road conditions without causing jerks. The adjustable height telescopic suspension for front and rear enable the rider to adjust according to riding conditions. The advanced features of cruise control help for easier cruising over long stretch highway roads and adjustable focus halogen headlights illuminate the road for best of visibility in riding at dark conditions.
